Interview with Elisha Tan (Facebook / Techladies)

A short interview with our friend from Singapore - Elisha Tan (Facebook Developer Programs Regional Lead - APAC and founder of Techladies)

TechLadies is a community for women in Asia to connect, learn, and advance as programmers.

While working at Facebook, Elisha started what she calls her 'passion project' called Techladies designed to do her bit for the community, in particular, empowering women with coding skills firstly in Singapore and now across Asia. She sat down with us to talk about her trip that was primarily a journey to discover Facebook's needs to help developers ('circles') across Australia and partly to help launch Techladies across Australia.

Facebook is looking to partner with influential developers, ideally already leading community initiatives to run branded events across Australia that focus on promoting Facebook's open source platform's and assets, everything from Messenger through to Oculus Rift.

Techladies is looking to partner with superstar female programmers to roll-out their programs across Australia. The programs include; developer bootcamps, tech talks, coding weekends, and study sessions.
